- Public records that raise questions
- Government contracts, spending, or reimbursements
- Agenda items that deserve more scrutiny
- Internal policies or decisions affecting employees
- Upcoming votes or board actions
- Conflicts of interest involving public officials
- Development, land use, or infrastructure decisions
- Anything that seems inconsistent with what the public has been told
Even small pieces of information can help connect larger patterns, which is kinda my jam.
Tips For Protecting Your Anonymity
If you prefer to remain anonymous, consider a few simple steps:
- Use a personal device rather than a work computer
- Avoid sending emails from a work/government account
- Consider creating a ProtonMail account used only for tips
- Send information from a private network rather than a work network
- Remove personal identifying details from screenshots/documents if needed
You are never required to provide your name or identifying information, even when it comes to requesting public records (La. R.S. 44:1–44:41)
